TMEX reports the 3rd Quarter of 2026 EWR Market statistics (01.07-30.09.2026)

3rd Quarter of 2026 highlights on the agricultural commodity trades in Electronic Warehouse Receipts (EWR) Market in Turkish Mercantile Exchange (TMEX) are as follows:
- As of the beginning of 2026, the trading value reached TRY 190 billion, with a trading volume of 12.78 million tons and 396 thousand transactions.
- There are 291 active licensed warehouses providing services in 384 locations, 54 cities, and 170 districts.
- The licensed warehouse capacity has achieved a record of 15.4 million tons.
- In the 3rd quarter of 2026, the trading value, trading volume, and number of transactions were recorded at TRY 135.2 billion, 8.7 million tons, and 355 thousand, respectively.
In the 3rd Quarter of 2026, information regarding the leading products in terms of daily average traded volume is provided below for the main traded agricultural commodities:
- Bread Wheat: 77,555 tons
- Durum Wheat: 21,809 tons
- Barley: 21,542 tons
- Corn: 11,692 tons
- Sunflower Seed: 1,752 tons
The seasonal trading value and volume for the traded products are provided comparatively with the same period in 2025:
- Bread Wheat: Trading value increased by 158% to TRY 80.8 billion; trading volume increased by 114% to 5,041,090 tons.
- Durum Wheat: Trading value increased by 58% to TRY 22.6 billion; trading volume increased by 34% to 1,417,591 tons.
- Barley: Trading value increased by 684% to TRY 18 billion; trading volume increased by 579% to 1,400,213 tons.
- Corn: Trading value decreased by 13% to TRY 10.4 billion; trading volume decreased by 30% to 760,004 tons.
- Sunflower Seed: Trading value increased by 152% to TRY 3 billion; trading volume increased by 122% to 84,103 tons.
The changes in Agricultural Commodity Indices for the 3rd Quarter of 2026, based on month-end closing values, are provided as follows:
- Wheat Index: Increased by 28.74% to 8,242.72.
- Wheat Bread Index: Increased by 32.69% to 8,784.95.
- Wheat Durum Index: Increased by 19.67% to 8,114.08.
- Corn Index: Increased by 19.36% to 8,010.63.
- Barley Index: Increased by 9.65% to 7,260.11.
- Grain Index: Increased by 26.82% to 7,874.30.
