TMEX reports the 1st Quarter of 2026 EWR Market statistics (01.01-31.03.2026)

1st Quarter of 2026 highlights on the agricultural commodity trades in Electronic Warehouse Receipts (EWR) Market in Turkish Mercantile Exchange (TMEX) are as follows:
- As of the beginning of 2026, the trading value reached to TRY 30.7 billion, with a trading volume of 2.3 million tons and 23 thousand transactions.
- There are 263 active licensed warehouses providing services in 357 locations, 54 cities, and 163 districts.
- The licensed warehouse capacity has achieved a record of 14.2 million tons.
In the1st Quarter of 2026, information regarding the leading products in terms of daily average traded volume is provided below for the main traded agricultural commodities:
- Milling Wheat: 14,632 tons
- Corn: 11,280 tons
- Durum Wheat: 8,163 tons
- Barley: 3,379 tons
- Paddy: 690 tons
The 1st quarter trading value and volume for the traded products are provided comparatively with the same period in 2025:
- Milling Wheat trading value 20% increased by 12.1 billion TRY; trading volume 2% decreased by 892,530 tons.
- Corn trading value 124% increased by 8.6 billion TRY; trading volume 73% increased by 699,360 tons.
- Durum Wheat trading value 75% increased by 6.9 billion TRY; trading volume 53% increased by 506,096 tons.
- Barley trading value 610% increased by 2.4 billion TRY; trading volume 432% increased by 206,091 tons.
- Paddy trading value 311% increased by 257 million TRY; trading volume 280% increased by 7,588 tons.
The changes in Agricultural Commodity Indices for the 1st Quarter of 2026, based on month-end closing values, are provided as follows:
- Wheat Index value 1.42% increased by 6,302.53.
- Milling Wheat Index value 1.06% increased by 6,735.79.
- Durum Wheat Index value 3.24% increased by 6,209.07.
- Corn Index value 22.77% increased by 7,523.69.
- Barley Index value 17.30 increased by 7,820.02.
- Grain Index value 5.52% increased by 6,366.81.
