TMEX reports the 2nd Quarter of 2025 EWR Market statistics (01.04-30.06.2025)

2nd Quarter of 2025 highlights on the agricultural commodity trades in Electronic Warehouse Receipts (EWR) Market in Turkish Mercantile Exchange (TMEX) are as follows:
- As of the beginning of 2025, the trading value reached to TRY 31,5 billion, with a trading volume of 2,7 million tons and 27 thousand transactions.
- There are 237 active licensed warehouses providing services in 321 locations, 53 cities, and 151 districts.
- The licensed warehouse capacity has achieved a record of 12,6 million tons.
- In the 2nd quarter of 2025; the trading value, trading volume, and number of transactions were recorded at TRY 12,9 billion, 1 million tons and 12 thousand respectively.
In the 2nd Quarter of 2025, information regarding the leading products in terms of daily average traded volume is provided below for the main traded agricultural commodities:
- Corn: 7.441 tons
- Milling Wheat: 6.050 tons
- Durum Wheat: 4.378 tons
- Barley: 568 tons
- Cotton: 254 tons
- Soybean: 87 tons
The 2nd quarter trading value and volume for the traded products are provided comparatively with the same period in 2024:
- Corn trading value decreased by 17% to 4,9 billion TRY; trading volume decreased by 44% to 439.011 tons.
- Milling Wheat trading value increased by 97% to 4,3 billion TRY; trading volume increased by 57% to 356.961 tons.
- Durum Wheat trading value increased by 72% to 2,6 billion TRY; trading volume increased by 54% to 205.771 tons.
- Barley trading value decreased by 38% to 332,8 million TRY; trading volume decreased by 57% to 30.663 tons.
- Soybean trading value increased by 976% to 51,3 million TRY; trading volume increased by 877% to 2.793 tons.
The changes in Agricultural Commodity Indices for the 2nd Quarter of 2025, based on month-end closing values, are provided as follows:
- Wheat Index value increased by 15,36% to 5.920,44.
- Milling Wheat Index value increased by 21,48% to 6.177,41.
- Durum Wheat Index value increased by 5,91% to 6.104,09.
- Corn Index value increased by 11,35% to 6.152,56.
- Barley Index value increased by 7,51% to 5.812,32.
- Grain Index value increased by 12,84% to 5.782,98.
