TMEX reports the 1st Quarter of 2025 EWR Market statistics (01.01-31.03.2025)

1st Quarter of 2025 highlights on the agricultural commodity trades in Electronic Warehouse Receipts (EWR) Market in Turkish Mercantile Exchange (TMEX) are as follows:
- As of the beginning of 2025, the trading value reached to TRY 18,6 billion, with a trading volume of 1,7 million tons and 15 thousand transactions.
- There are 223 active licensed warehouses providing services in 305 locations, 48 cities, and 143 districts.
- The licensed warehouse capacity has achieved a record of 12,1 million tons.
In the 1st Quarter of 2025, information regarding the leading products in terms of daily average traded volume is provided below for the main traded agricultural commodities:
- Milling Wheat: 14.662 tons
- Corn: 6.530 tons
- Durum Wheat: 5.915 tons
- Barley: 656 tons
- Paddy: 142 tons
- Soybean: 107 tons
The 1st quarter trading value and volume for the traded products are provided comparatively with the same period in 2024:
- Milling Wheat trading value increased by 596% to 10,1 billion TRY; trading volume increased by 479% to 909.035 tons.
- Corn trading value decreased by 8% to 3,8 billion TRY; trading volume decreased by 38% to 404.887 tons.
- Durum Wheat trading value increased by 173% to 3,9 billion TRY; trading volume increased by 136% to 331.215 tons.
- Barley trading value increased by 10% to 335,1 million TRY; trading volume decreased by 7% to 38.709 tons.
- Soybean trading value increased by 162% to 85,1 million TRY; trading volume increased by 174% to 5.044 tons.
- Paddy trading value increased by 29% to 62,5 million TRY; trading volume increased by 8% to 1.995 tons.
The changes in Agricultural Commodity Indices for the 1st Quarter of 2025, based on month-end closing values, are provided as follows:
- Wheat Index value increased by 0,86% to 5.132,24.
- Milling Wheat Index value decreased by 1,12% to 5.085,05.
- Durum Wheat Index value increased by 5,69% to 5.763,50.
- Corn Index value increased by 17,90% to 5.525,19.
- Barley Index value increased by 23,19% to 5.406,49.
- Grain Index value increased by 4,48% to 5.124,82.
